Maintenance and Operations
The Maintenance and Operations Division maintains the City's streets, curb and gutters, sidewalks, residential trees in the right-of-way, medians, catch basins and drainage facilities, street sweeping, graffiti removal, and the City’s fleet, equipment and facilities.
Division Services
Street Maintenance
The Street Maintenance Program maintains over 1,000 lane miles of street including weed/litter abatement, pothole repair, crack sealing, street reconstruction, shoulder repair/grading, and illegal dumping.

Tree Maintenance
The Tree Program maintains the trees within residential street rights-of-way. Please contact the Maintenance and Operations Division when you see a residential tree obscuring vehicular vision, blocking pedestrian travel on sidewalks, or causing damage to public infrastructure.
Graffiti Removal
The Graffiti Removal Program provides services seven days per week for removal of graffiti from public and private property visible from the public right-of-way. The goal of the program is to remove graffiti within 24 hours of a location being reported.
Landscape Services
The City maintains more than 200 acres of landscaping including over 15,000 trees. Landscape maintenance services includes mowing turf; trimming bushes / plant material; irrigation management; weed and litter abatement; tree trimming; and installation of new plants and/or trees in areas maintained by the City.

Concrete Maintenance
The Concrete Program removes and replaces damaged sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. The program also places asphalt ramping or grinding as sidewalk issues are reported. Please contact the Maintenance and Operations Division if you notice a potential issue or concern along a City sidewalk, curb, or gutter.
Storm Drain Maintenance
The Storm Drain Program monitors and cleans the City’s storm water drainage system, with approximately 2,200 catch basins inspected/cleaned each year. This program assists the City in meeting its National Pollutants Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES ) compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act.
Facilities Maintenance
The Facilities Maintenance Program maintains the City’s 38 public buildings and facilities including police and fire stations. This program provides for the maintenance, repair, and revitalization of all facilities and works to provide buildings that are safe and properly operational for the general public and City Employees.
Vehicle/Equipment Maintenance
The Vehicle/Equipment Program maintains the City’s fleet that includes vehicles and equipment with gasoline, diesel, propane, and natural gas powered engines. This program is also involved in providing fuel, vehicle replacement, and after-hour emergency response repairs.
