Who is eligible for the gym subsidy program?

Generally, all regular full-time CRC employees are eligible to participate in the fitness subsidy program. Union-represented employees are eligible only if the applicable collective bargaining agreement provides for participation. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are considered full-time.

Do I have to use the gym membership?

To be eligible for reimbursement, you are required to use the gym an average of four times or more per month for each month you request reimbursement.

Am I eligible for the subsidy if I'm on Short-Term Disability?

Yes. The requirement to use the gym will be suspended during months in which you receive Short-Term Disability benefits; however, you must continue to submit reimbursement requests.

Is the gym subsidy available when I retire or while I receive Long-Term Disability benefits?

No, only employees currently on the payroll are eligible.

Are part-time employees eligible for the gym subsidy program?

No, only full-time, regular employees are eligible.
