The CRC Retiree Medical Plan, administered by Aetna, provides medical benefits for in-network services (Aetna Choice POS II network). Prescription drug coverage is provided through Express Scripts.

The Retiree Medical Plan coordinates with your Medicare coverage:

  • Medicare pays first on all covered services.
  • The CRC medical plan pays remaining covered expenses up to CRC plan limits.

Even if you fail to enroll in Medicare Parts A and B, CRC’s medical plan benefits will be reduced by what Medicare would have paid. In addition, the CRC plan calculates the amount you would have received under the plan if you were not eligible for Medicare, subtracts the amount payable by Medicare and reimburses the difference. You do not need to enroll in a Medicare Part D (prescription drug) plan.

In Southern California, CRC also offers Kaiser HMO for Retirees, a plan available to retirees under age 65. The Kaiser Senior Advantage Plan is available to those over age 65 and Medicare-eligible.
